Ray Charles to the Bull || You must not see IT - Creatures of Habit
One thing very significant about, Ray Charles, was his ability to play blind to certain things going on around him. Yet, spiritually his eyes were very much open. It was many situations occurring frequently in his life, where he had to overcome his handicap and be the greatest person possible, regardless to the challenges he faced. We have a brief, but vivid description of his mother, that he reflects on through his entire adult life. She raised him to need no help and be independent, relying on no one and never allowing himself to feel handicapped. The moment she realized that without a doubt he would soon be physically blind, she begin that very moment, instinctly as a MOTHER, to instill in him self knowledge and POWER that would be his foundation and strength.
As we become more like RAY CHARLES, spiritually seeing the power we have within us, we realize we are overcomers and can overcome any situation or obstacle placed in front of us We begin to accept our weaknesses or handicaps and still find greater purpose within our lives We are not purpose by a long shot, Everybody's Doing the Mess Around" in some aspect of life. Messing around could be considered "wasting valuable time" when you could be focused and doing your greater purpose Just as "Georgia" meant so much to Ray Charles, so should Grambling to me, and also where ever you are from Improvement should be constantly on your mind.
Ray Charles put so much passion in his life, music, and entertainment. Also, no matter what he faced, in almost every image, you see him with a smile on his face. Pushing through drug addictions and other impurities, I will not reflect on, because I wish to further uplift icons, and not say anything to diminish he's outstanding character in any way. He was a human being, surviving, providing, living, and thriving, making no excuses and serving his fullest purpose, inspiring many. Just as I was inspired to post a blog about him Just as he inspired Jamie Foxx to act a magnificent role in the biographical film.
Now, for the situations we face in day to day life. Be blind to the negative situations that come only to stir up strife in your life. Be blind to the people that only come around to lower yourself esteem, you must not see their craft. Your eyes and ears are gates to your subconscious. Be deaf and blind to those who mean you no good. Im not saying, turn the other cheek, or ignore and allow them to keep tormenting you. I'm saying what begins in your mind will be manifested. When you realize that their opinion isn't important. When you realize you don't have to include them in your life or personal experiences, it changes your outLOOK on the way you view them and the power you are giving them over you. Be Ray Charles to the negative people on your job, because you never have to see them ever again when YOU go get another source of income. Be Ray Charles, to the negative people in your community because the life and location you see yourself living that life in, is far from them because you are going in completely different directions. Be Ray Charles, to the people who are trying to influence you to do things you don't feel comfortable doing.
Last but not least, be Ray Charles, to seeing yourself in a negative way. Be blind to your insecurities, do not linger on them and give all your attention and energy in thinking you are lesser. See the good in you, see good left in the world, and start from there.
